Win provides an example of Medgate’s continued market momentum in the environmental information management and compliance software market
Toronto, ON (Dec 15, 2016) – Medgate, the global leader in providing enterprise-grade, SaaS-based Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) risk management solutions, has been selected as the environmental management software vendor of choice by Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline. Southern Star has been a Medgate Safety suite customer since 2012.
Medgate’s Environmental software suite – part of Medgate’s integrated enterprise-grade EHS software platform – enables environmental professionals to centralize, streamline and standardize the data needed for a successful environmental and sustainability management program. Southern Star will utilize Medgate’s integrated regulatory database to manage compliance and ensure environmental risks are mitigated across its operations. Medgate’s Safety inspection software has already allowed Southern Star to proactively manage hazards with audits and inspections, and reduce and manage incidents. The Environmental suite will extend this to manage change across programs and provide up-to-date safety data sheets.
Sergio Andrade, CSP, CHMM, MsP, CRSO, Safety Manager at Southern Star said, “Every year there are a ton of new features that make the Safety product better. We store all near misses, injuries, and motor vehicle accidents [in Medgate] and that allows us to check for trends using filters such as location, region, and supervisor. By measuring the number of findings and the time to complete them on safety audits, we reduced both on a notable pace. The User Community and Support Team for the past four years have been fantastic. The team of professionals who participate on the implementation phase is deeply knowledgeable.”
On their decision to expand the relationship by adding Medgate’s Environmental suite, Sergio said, “The success of the Safety suite was a clear factor for adopting the Environmental suite. For environmental, we needed a system for audits that allowed us to create reports, alerts, and track the situation on any given moment. Medgate was a clear choice.”
“Southern Star is relentlessly focused on safety and compliance and we are deeply proud of our partnership,” said Medgate President Mark Wallace, “More and more leading organizations are looking to consolidate all their EHS programs onto a single software platform. It’s a testament not only to the breadth of our solutions but also to our customer service that so many of our clients continue to expand their use of Medgate. This win is another example of the strong momentum we see with our Environmental suite.”
