Long-time client NASA, the US Government Agency responsible for science and technology related to air and space, has gone live with Medgate’s market-leading multi-tenant SaaS product offering. The Agency will use Medgate health and safety software to manage its Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene data management requirements.
The NASA/Medgate partnership has been a successful one. In 2012, the NASA/Medgate Electronic Health Records System Team received the Agency Honor Award in recognition of the project’s ability to deliver cost efficiencies and streamline electronic medical recordkeeping and facilitate real-time identification of critical health issues.
The move to Medgate’s SaaS platform included migrating NASA’s data from its own servers to Medgate’s servers, demonstrating Medgate’s ability to meet the highest levels of data security and availability.
Medgate first achieved the ISO 27001 certification in 2011 and has passed a stringent audit of its data management processes each year since. Medgate’s data security framework allows its clients to meet standards such as HIPAA, HITECH, the European Union’s Data Protection Directive, and Canada’s PIPEDA.
“We apply the highest data security standards to ourselves so that our clients can have peace of mind that sensitive employee health and safety data is managed properly,” said Mark Wallace, Medgate President.
